Can you tame the bull for charity?

On Wednesday 17th of November at 11:45pm in the Clarence, Wine St. Sligo a Wild West themed night dubbed “Sligo West Fest” complete with rodeo bull provided by Carousel Enterprises will take place in aid of Make-A-Wish® Ireland. Entry to this event will cost €4 and tickets will be on sale in the canteen in the college on the week of the event and people can also pay on the night. D.J Lisa Brady will provide all the music on the night with a mix of western music as well as all the hits from today’s charts.

This event is being organised by a group of third year IT Sligo Students for the subject not for profit marketing class as part of their overall course BB in Marketing PR & Event Management. Students were asked to organise an event and to donate any profits to their charity of choice. Organising this fabulous event will provide the students the chance to gain valuable learning experience on the organising and running of an event.

The chosen charity Make-A-Wish Ireland has one simple aim – To grant the wishes of children aged between 3 and 18 years living with life-threatening medical conditions. A wish granted is true magic for the child providing respite from their normal routines of hospitals, doctors and treatment. For further information please visit www.makeawish.ie.
