In this current climate it is critical that we offer our support to our local voluntary services. As a result of this a group of students from Institute of Technology Sligo (Social Studies & Early Childcare) have offered to work together with Rape Crisis Centre and Sexual Abuse Counselling Service, Sligo, Leitrim and West Cavan to organise an event in order to help raise awareness and funds for this local service.

Saturday April 10th 2010 will see a day-time event from 2pm to 5pm and night-time event from 9pm at the Glasshouse both organised for this particular cause.
The day event will consist of some Sligo’s finest buskers, music from Samboeire, African Drumming and face-painting on the streets of Sligo town, while in Quayside there will also be music and face-painting all through the afternoon. The day event will start at 2pm and continue until 5pm.

The night event is a music extravaganza with some of Sligo’s most talented musicians including, Socitey X, Elaine Gordan, Red Brick House and our very own DJ Ash. Doors open at the Glasshouse at 9pm and first band kicks off at 10pm. In addition there will be a raffle on the night with some fantastic prizes. Tickets can be purchased at Third Wave Music and also available at the door on the night.

This is night not to be missed folks!!
