Gare St Lazare presents
Moby Dick
by Herman Melville
Saturday 9th May, 8pm
€16 / €14 concs / Friends 2 for 1
One of the most exciting stories of all time, Moby Dick is a tale of the sea and one man's obsession with hunting down the great whale that claimed his boat and nearly took his life.
Wandering sailor Ishmael signs up for a voyage on the whaleship The Pequod under the command of Captain Ahab. Soon he learns that Ahab is intent on revenge against Moby Dick, a white whale of mythical size, and will risk his boat, his life and those of the men under his command to kill this giant of the deep.
One of Ireland's best known touring theatre companies, Gare St Lazare Players are renowned for their Beckett prose productions such as First Love, which played at the Hawk's Well last May before wowing critics and audiences at the last Dublin Theatre Festival.
