Introducing Justice Thumbs, a charity organization consisting of two teams of three over-excited hitch-hikers - Inappropriately attired in fancy dress costumes who will embark on a national adventure that will see all proceeds go to Down Syndrome Ireland. The cross country capers will set off on their travels from 24th August and will return 2nd September in a bid to raise awareness for such a great cause.
Taking in no less than sixteen towns and cities en route, both teams will host a fund-raising event at their respective locations.
All Justice Thumbs asks of you during the course of this nine day event is for a comfy lift in your car, a sod of grass to rest their weary heads for the night and a heartfelt donation to the cause. Remember, charity begins at home!
Kelly's Bar in Strandhill will host the Sligo leg of the tour. The line-up on the night will include Red Brick House, Oddsocks Revival, Big Box, Wayne O Connor, This Side Up and The Burning Shades. What is surely to be the last great get-together of the summer will kick off against the backdrop of a Strandhill sunset on Sunday the 30th of August.
There will be an optional entrance fee and the bands and charity group hope to attract a wide and generous audience who will donate what the gig is worth.
