Sligo’s number one student night at The Clarence presents a spectacular show with trance sensation John O’Callaghan on Wednesday 28 April.
In total five DJs are set to rock the venue as the biggest pre-exam party in Ireland comes to fruition headlined by an artist who is setting the global electronic music world alight.
Climbing 36 places to Number 24 in DJ Mag’s latest Top 100 DJ Poll, O’Callaghan has the potential to break into the top 10 DJs in the world.
There he would sit amongst global superstars like Tiesto, Armin van Buuren, Paul van Dyk, David Guetta and Ferry Corsten.
The Navan native’s worldwide popularity can be attributed to his outstanding production ability - tunes like ‘Big Sky’ and ‘Find Yourself’ topping both dance music and commercial charts across the planet.
His 2009 artist album ‘Never Fade Away’ broke records around the world and launched O’Callaghan further into the global limelight than ever before.
He regularly enjoys gigs in some of earth’s furthest-flung destinations including the continents of North and South America, Asia and Australasia.
And he has just announced his summer residency in Cream at Amnesia in Ibiza – possibly the biggest club night in the world.
O’Callaghan has also been named as Godskitchen’s resident for 2010 and is preparing to embark on a summer playing some of the most iconic dance music festivals on the globe.
Subculture, O’Callaghan’s new record label, continues to release tracks from some of trance’s fastest-rising stars while his monthly radio show of the same name is one of the most listened to on the planet.
His performance in The Clarence is one of the last opportunities to see the record-breaking DJ/producer ahead of his hectic international summer schedule.
Irish superstar and worldwide trance phenomenon John O’Callaghan plays The Clarence, Sligo, on Wednesday 28 April. He is joined by DJs Tommy Finan, Michael Doherty (i102104), Gav and Sean Clery.
