A Night at the Musicals

Tickets are selling fast for ‘A Night of the Musicals’ which takes place on 28 October in IT Sligo’s Knocknarea Arena in aid of the North West Hospice. This gala performance will showcase all of your favourites from popular musicals.

IT Sligo and the Army have joined forces to host the best of musical and vocal talent from the Sligo region to present a truly memorable gala night.

Featuring the best of the most familiar Broadway hits including ‘Oliver’, ‘Cats’, ‘Fame’, ‘Sound of Music’ and many more, the charity musical extravaganza evening, in aid of the Northwest Hospice, is a must for Sligo music lovers.

Tommie Gorman will compere the gala performance which starts at 7.45pm. The Army's Band of the Western Command, under the direction of Captain Declan Whitsom will be joined in concert by The County Sligo Golf Club Male Voice Choir, Sligo Academy of Music, St.Mary’s Community Youth Choir, Tone Cold Sober, Coola VEC Post Primary School Choir and the Sligo Musical Society.

The Show’s producer Shaun Purcell, CEO of Sligo VEC promises ‘A very entertaining evening for music lovers young and old. Our show will include a variety of performances from the musicals and will help to raise much-needed money for the expansion of day services at North West Hospice. This is a show for families and I urge parents to bring along kids to experience the sound of full orchestra and a live performance.'
